Every year for the past 2 years when I visit my blog, I have roughly been a month away from a huge milestone in my life. It would only make sense for year 3 to have a milestone as well! A recap of my previous milestones first....
2010: Moving to New York City to study and intern.
- An amazing experience! I was able to take the most interesting classes which helped jolt me back into my art world. I had such a passion for it through out my childhood! However, once I went to college, a different type of art had instilled itself int my life. I'm sad that I didn't get an art minor while I was in college; but I do not regret not doing so. (It probably would've been more beneficial than my PR minor though...)
2011: Graduating from college and having to start hunting for a job.
- Not such an amazing experience. You think it will only take a few months to find a job, only to find out that the industry/field you've chosen is actually quite small and difficult to get into. It's not only what you know but who you know. I've found out that you need to be multi-talented to find/keep a job.
Moving on... what are you in for 2012? You guessed it! I am one month away from getting married...
In a little over a month, I will have worked at the same company for a year. How time does fly.
So much has happened since I graduated from college:
One of my best friends got married in July 2011; I was able to relax with family for longer than 2 months; I was able to work on a reality TV series with one of my best friends; I found my first official in-industry job; friends got engaged; in March 2012, one of my sisters moved to teach English in South Korea; my married sister graduated from college and moved from Michigan to San Diego; my youngest sister was accepted into an education master's program; I found a boy... and the same best friend I was able to work with on the reality TV show is working with me now!
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. EXPLORE. DREAM. DISCOVER."

Life is such a crazy thing. So much happens so quickly that all moments need to be appreciated.
